Word of the Year

Merriam-Webster have picked “slop” as the word of the year but I have my own:

𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

From the micro to the macro, from the perso to the pro, every area of my life was majorly shifted by something I was not expecting this year.

What started off as a simple conversation with my wife led to moving the family to another province, and to simplify matters, it happened right in the middle of the first conference for ForecaaS as an exhibitor. 🤹 ... IYKYK

What started off as an AI curiosity has led to an explosion of possibilities (and with ISV partners now being privy to Salesforce’s -Agentforce’s? 🤔 - AI capabilities, a 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 way to begin to explore what that could look like for the ForecaaS suite).

What started as community building attempts have led to partnerships, friendships, and rekindled friendships that have helped craft and grow me and my company in ways I didn’t see coming.

With each unexpected change comes the expected initial discomfort of uncertainty.

But like so many friends, leaders, and peers I’ve spoken and worked with, you got to push through.

Because on the other side of being adaptable are new ideas and situations that lead to true growth – both personally and professionally.

So for me, 2025 was the year I really saw what the power of maintaining adaptability can do.

If you had to pick a word of the year, what would yours be?
