The RevOps Customization Problem

RevOps gets messy the moment teams try to solve everything with custom process.
RevOps is supposed to simplify how a company operates.
Somehow, it often becomes the place where every exception goes to live forever.
That’s usually where technical debt starts:
🚨 one-off fields
🚨 custom logic nobody remembers
🚨 reports that only three people trust
🚨 automation built to patch a broken process instead of fixing it
My bias is simple: start as close to standard as possible.
Not because standard is sexy.
Because standard is maintainable.
In Salesforce-heavy orgs, the real cost usually isn’t the first build. It’s the tenth workaround.
If your RevOps stack needs a map, three translators, and a weekly prayer circle, it may be time to simplify.
That’s the work I like most: making RevOps more reliable, not more fragile.
DM me if your Salesforce instance has turned into a workaround museum. 📬
