The "Report Fixers' Problem

Why does RevOps so often get relegated to “report fixers”?
Because it's the easy, obvious ask. The tip of the iceberg.
Yet, the need for better (refined) reports often stems from larger problems aligned with core RevOps principles, which they need to have the opportunity to address fully.
The whole of the iceberg. 🧊
A strong, empowered RevOps presence will result in stronger reporting.
Because trustworthy reports come from:
🦸♀️ People – everyone trained to enter revenue data the same regardless of seniority, opinion, or personality
⚙️ Process – creating data workflows to ensure the smooth transition of information between departments – from opportunity creation to CSM delegation
🖥️ Platforms- maintaining a source of truth platform with strong integration points
If you only want them to “fix your reports” but they have no say in the process, people, and platforms that determine how the data is created then you’re only doing your organization a disservice.
What’s a tip of the iceberg problem you see frequently when it comes to RevOps?
