Good vs Great CFOs

A good CFO doesn’t ask for everything. A great one asks for the right thing.
The best CFOs I’ve worked with usually have one thing in common.
The questions they ask make all the difference, it's more about understanding and trusting the data, than simply being able to getting a report. It sounds more like "can we trust this number" and less like "get me a report".
Because once trust becomes the standard, the conversation shifts from dashboard decoration to operating discipline:
🤔 what is the metric really measuring?
🤔 who owns it?
🤔 where does it break?
🤔 what manual cleanup is hiding underneath?
That’s why RevOps and finance align so well when they’re both done properly.
Finance wants reliability, and RevOps should be the function that helps deliver it.
If the data can’t survive a CFO conversation, it probably isn’t ready for a board conversation either. 🫳🎤
DM me if your metrics need to stand up in front of finance, not just in a slide deck.
