“Good, fast, or cheap: pick two.”

I’ve been deep in demo calls lately, hunting for new software, and every option seems to run into the same problem:

“Good, fast, or cheap: pick two.”

The more I think about it, the more I realize this isn’t just a buying dilemma - it’s a broader business reality.

Take RevOps, for example. I’ve seen companies rush to outsource it overseas to save on costs and speed up implementation, but the trade-off often shows up later in data quality, integration gaps, or misaligned processes. Same triangle, different context.

💸 Good and fast usually comes at a premium.

💔 Fast and cheap often sacrifices quality.

⏳ Cheap and good takes time.

Whether it’s software or operations, you can bend the triangle - but you can’t break it.

Curious how others see it: what are you most willing to compromise on when it comes to building or buying tools for your revenue engine?
