An Early Consulting Lesson

One consulting lesson I learned the hard way:

The technically perfect solution is not always the best solution.

I have seen beautiful processes fail because nobody actually wanted to use them.

Every field was thoughtful, automation was elegant, edge cases were handled.

And then the people closest to the work found a workaround by week two... 🤦‍♂️

That is not a user problem but a design problem.

The best RevOps systems are built with the people who need to live in them, not just the people who know how to build them.

That means asking:
🧐 What do you need to know to do your job?
🧐 What feels like unnecessary admin?
🧐 Where are people already creating side processes?
🧐 Which “required” fields are quietly being ignored?

A process is only as good as its adoption. Or, put another way: if the system only works in the demo, it does not work.
