AI as an Accelerant

AI doesn’t create clean systems. It accelerates whatever you already have.

AI gets a lot of credit right now ; some of it is deserved, but in Salesforce orgs with technical debt, AI is not a cleanup crew... it’s usually a faster way to make the mess bigger. (sorry-not sorry for the accompanying image 😅).

If the underlying process is unclear:
❌ AI will automate ambiguity
❌ vibe coding will hard-code assumptions
❌ bad data will get multiplied faster
❌ broken handoffs will look “efficient” right up until they fail

This is why I still care so much about fundamentals: clean object model, simple process, stable definitions.

Basically, staying as close as possible to standard functionality wherever possible. This is not an anti-AI post, we use it a lot, but not without control.

You can get the most value from AI when you already know what “good” looks like inside their systems.

Everything else is just a very fast way to scale confusion.
